With kids launched, an empty house and no reason to restrain my wanderlust, the world is my oyster again. I wanted to take my business on the road. But I found not one single reference to help me. So I created one. Thus, the 90 Day Expat Entrepreneur was conceived as a step-by-step system to build a business as an expat.
 
 
Origins/Inspiration
I've had a passport since I was 14 for my first caribbean vacation - we were a group of 10 teens with two chaperones. I fell in love immediately. The Caribbean is still my favorite place to be.
 
The next year, I discovered Europe on a school ski trip to the Alps. A few of these trips to Austria and Switzerland convinced me to spend a college semester immersed in the language, living on my own just outside Munich, Germany. Seeing a country from the inside as a local student instead of simply as a tourist was an education in itself.
 
After college, I joined the Peace Corps and worked in Benin, West Africa as a high school English teacher for a couple years. I explored all of West Africa during those two years. I had so many visas, I ran out of pages in my passport.

Before heading home, I toured East Africa and a number of Mediterranean countries, solo. That's when I earned my stripes as a World Traveler.
 
 
In graduate school, I had two concentrations: Operations Management and International Marketing. At the time, the Pacific Rim was still very unknown, but we had a former US Consular to Malaysia as a professor, who showed us the corporate and entrepreneurial opportunities of the region. It enriched my visit to Hong Kong a few years later and led to many personal and professional connections in the Pacific Rim region.
